Taiwan

寺林夜市( Shilin Night Market)

At 淡水河边 (Dan Shui Riverside)
Welcome to Tai-Wan

Season: Winter
Temperature: 27-30 °C ( winter: 30°C?! !@#$$%%^@$)
People: Guys are moderately good looking, Girls are pretty in terms of Taiwan stylo but would look better if they don’t treat their faces like birthday cakes, it is always simplicity that makes things beautiful.

Taipei, for my 1st impression, was ordinary. I got nothing much to say about this trip coz I’ve always been so ignorant about the country, the last country I would like to visit literally. All I did in Taipei was shopping, eating, sleeping and shopping, it’s just crazy shopping everyday!! Due to hyper shopaholism, I’ve also lost my camera case and 2 new shirts, jeeez..

We stayed in Imperial Hotel Taipei, which was quite a simple luxurious experience, receptionists were friendly and the concierge was superb. Nothing much to complain for the stay, at least I’m back to Penang in whole at 2a.m. and still continued to work for the following week. Like I said, nothing much to tell for Taipei coz it’s not a backpack tour, I only experienced watching MU VS Chelsea ( 0-1, yippie) in the room with Taiwan Beer and Heineken, traveling by cabs and reaching destinations, all spoon fed…obviously the only regret until today is I MISSED National Palace Museum, I’m such a fool to miss that place out…RaaaGGeeeEee!~

Dorothy humbly presents you SONY T-20 Northern Taiwan collections:

On mi way, wid Da Vinci Code as my Comrade

it's -30°C out there

pessimum gigante..

The 1st destination after unloaded our luggage: 寺林夜市( Shilin Night Market)

Cow's Milk on the left, Chicken's Kuku on the right, sole coincidence =D

love the colors duncha?

The next early morning we headed to 五分铺 (Wu Fen Pu) , place where they are selling clothes but I didn't get much.

Who would miss out the world’s current tallest building: 台北101( Taipei 101) which is situated in the East side o f Taipei. It was tall but not too enormous, Classy but not as glamorous as Petronas Twin Towers in KL to be down right, the Interior wasn’t even as posh as Siam Paragon.. No offense to Taiwanese, this is solely my personal opinion.

忠孝动路 (Zhong Xiao East Road) is just near to 台北101, I’m a bit psyched when I see this place coz it was in the song by ‘动力火车power station’ with chorus like this: 忠孝动路走九遍,穿过陌生人潮, 搜寻你的脸, 有人走得匆忙有人爱得甜美,谁会在意插肩而过的心碎。。。

Parliamentary office where President Mah is working

西门叮( Xi Men Ting), another place that I got to know years ago listening to MCHotDog’s song, whereby d rapper rapped that there're loads of Manthers a.k.a old gatal uncles lurking and sitting aimlessly in 西门叮 with the main intention of ogling the young women.. Pathetic old Uncles ain’t =D..

that's my boo posing for Levi's Square Top Block

Inside西门叮 lies the famous 阿宗面线, just mee sua+ lor… don’t have much comments bout food all the time, coz I’m the fast food expert =p

Another sunny day walking on the nothing much street
One of the many temples which is near to my hotel, snapped it on the way walking to MRT station, heading to 淡水( Dan Shui)
As you can see, they are using tokens for Rapid Transits

淡水河边 (Dan Shui Riverside) is a special riverside market. You can go about by taking the MRT to the last station up north, but hot weather was killing me!

said to be the world's largest Dong =D

How ironic to see the ice cream melted into smth else in just 2 minutes:

fine, i do it on purpose, but the ice cream tasted like ice water which I threw it away after done performing the trick=p

stayed from noon until sunset, epic rage!!
Bought these beers for football. Bud and Heine are for my hunnie and my papa. Taiwan beer is real smooth shit, a must try!
2 things I hate about 淡水( Dan Shui): the crowd and the weather

Finally, the trip has taken a pivotal turn, instead of markets and people and shoppings, here comes my babies, sceneries and vistas which make me ARRRRRRrrrrrhhhhhHHHhhhhhhhh~~~
My piece of advice for those who are visiting Taipei: PLEASE DO NOT MISS OUT National Palace Museum, i repeat, DO NOT miss out National Palace Museum, it is the most prominent Museum in Asia, with the collection of over 650,000 pieces of ancient chinese artifacts and artworks, making it one of the largest in the world. For more stories on the Museum, go to google and type in 'National Palace Museum Taipei'
Stay tuned
